Welcome to Magical Minds where we believe in the intrinsic value of human beings. My name is Valerie and I am so happy your journey led you here! I am a wife, a mother of three children, and one bonus child. Children have always held my heart. Many moons ago I was an elementary teacher and I absolutely loved education. Six years into my career I came to a crossroad where I had to decide if I was going to support children in or out the classroom. I choose to support children out of the class and It has kept my light burning ever since. This choice led me to the beautiful world of clinical social work where I am able to support children and their families through mental health challenges and champion for preventative mental health.

My career has led me from the classroom, to community mental health, to juvenile detention centers, to school social work , and now to Magical Minds. This company was birthed to provide therapy and experiential trainings through a clinically seasoned and culturally sensitive lens.
